Laser Tattoo Removal Vs. Saline Tattoo-ing Options

We get a lot of questions about alternatives for laser tattoo removal in Reno. Well obviously I am an advocate for it, but I truly want people to get the best results and with the best consequences and experiences. Everyone has different opinions and ideas, but there is one thing we see in our shop that has been proven over and over again, having your tattoo re-tattooed with varying solutions causes trauma and scarring to the skin.

I don’t want to pinch a nerve with a more popular company that claims to be much better than laser tattoo removal, as well as “all natural.” But….it’s scary stuff folks. I have seen it on men, women, and in varying areas and it’s all the same. No bueno.

What happens? Well a saline solution is tattooed into the skin. It creates a large scab, the scab comes off, and with it ink. In my experience it does change the ink, but it does not come out. It actually just seems to alter it. It becomes this milky murky looking thing under the skin. I think the worst part about it is the scarring.. They have ranged to raised and bumpy, to complete craters. What is unfortunate about this? Now you have a raised milky scar that is built up with scar tissue. Its makes it harder to cover up with a new tattoo, more painful if you do, as well as harder to remove that ink with a laser.

We treat many clients who have had this experience, and luckily the laser itself does help to settle the area. It breaks up the tissue and helps it “relax”, while simultaneously pulling the ink out. This will leave the skin in a better state, even if its just a cover-up they desire.

I feel for these clients!!!! because the area is more sensitive and they have to sit thru more, pay for more, spend more time.

It may be cheap, but cheap isn’t always good. I highly suggest looking into laser tattoo removal…..even if it’s not from us. (again research reviews and find the best fit for you)
